The 2014 MY Alfa MiTo (pictured) get small tweaks and a more powerful TwinAir engine. We like the Alfa Romeo MiTo; it’s an underrated car and should be higher on most buyers’ wish lists. What we also like is that the MiTo has the fun little 875cc TwinAir engine as an option, which works pretty well, makes a good noise and promises stunning economy.
Suzuki Swift Sport Advert gets banned in Australia
The Australian Advertising Board has banned a TV advert for the new Suzuki Swift Sport because it looks too much fun. There are few things in life you can rely on, but the Suzuki Swift Sport being bags of fun for the money is one. Another, we always thought, was the easy-going, laid-back attitude to life that makes Australians so endearing.

It looks like Geneva is going to be more of a highlight than the recent Detroit Motor Show, which turned in to something of a sombre occasion. No surprise really, considering the US auto industry is in the worst shape of any in the world (been there, done that – remember BL in the ’70s?). But Europe, despite the current economic woes, makes the best cars in the world, and is going to be out in force in March.
